Your Appointment

Preparing for your consultation with Dr Anthony Samson
Whether you are attending your first appointment or returning for review, being well prepared can help ensure your consultation runs smoothly and that you get the most from your time with Dr Samson.

Referral process

If you are seeing Dr Samson for the first time, you will require a valid referral from your GP or another medical specialist.

A current referral is required to be eligible for a Medicare rebate and helps provide important background information about your condition.

You may still see Dr Samson for a consultation without a referral (for e.g. if referred by an allied health practitioner) however the Medicare rebate for the consultation will not be available. If surgery or another procedure is required later, a referral will be needed prior to that to allow refund from private healthcare funds and Medicare.
